I won a trophy!

Two things.

  1. It’s too hot! The UK has had its first red weather warning, ever! This is due to temperatures reaching over 40 degrees centigrade and it is affecting transport and could lead to loss of life. We all know what we can do to stop climate change, see my tree planting painting below for ideas or visit charities such as WWF UK for sensible achievable actions you can take to combat climate change. We are all in this together! We can do it! We must do it!
  2. I won another art competition with “From little acorns grow”. Last year I was one of the winners of the WWF UK and Attenborough Films ‘Just Imagine’ competition which resulted in a beautiful virtual art exhibition. This time I thought I’d try it in real life at the local village fair. I don’t like to blow my own trumpet, one is British afterall, but I was super surprised I won the Josephine Steer Memorial Cup for Best Art Exhibit in Show. Who knew that you get trophies for art?! I thought trophies were just for sporty people! Feeling very chuffed as the art in the marquee was awesome! As were the flowers, fruit, vegetables, jams, cakes, and patchwork quilts, amongst many other things. My personal favourites are the animals made of fruit or vegetables, they always make me smile! Giclee prints and greetings cards available of ‘From little acorns grow’ from my MabelArt Etsy shop and my @devonopenstudios in September. Mx 😊
